Haldrea One

Kept safe.
Watched over.

One small sealed unit for everything you look after: reptiles, aquariums, kitchens, the second home. It reads the room and its probes every minute, and tells your phone the moment something is wrong.

Haldrea One, a small white unit with a paper-like screen showing 31.4 °C on the warm side of a gecko's vivarium, with a stainless probe

Concept render of the production design.

What it does that others don't

Every monitor sends a text when a number crosses a line. Haldrea watches the equipment behind the number.

The screen reads: Fridge 2, 3.8 °C, compressor working 40% harder than in June, book a service before it fails

Tells you before it fails

It learns how your fridge, heater or heat mat normally behaves, and warns you when it starts to struggle, with a plain estimate of the time left.

The screen reads: Reef tank, Probe A fault, lead cut or unplugged

Knows when its own probe has failed

A cut lead, a corroded plug or a probe out of the water is reported as a fault, never as a reading you might believe.

Two Haldrea units: one in a greenhouse with no WiFi reporting through one in the kitchen

Keeps watching when the WiFi doesn't

Haldreas pass messages for each other, so the one at the end of the garden reports through the one in the kitchen. It does not extend your WiFi; it keeps your Haldreas talking.

The screen reads: Cottage kitchen, 6.1 °C, power off since 02:51, still watching on battery

Still watching when the power goes

A battery inside keeps it measuring through a power cut, with nothing lost. Plug it in once; never change a battery.

Haldrea One seen from below: probe sockets A and B and the USB-C port on the underside

Everything plugs in underneath

Both probe sockets and the power lead are on the underside, so cables hang straight down and water runs off rather than in.

  • Made for a misted vivarium, a fridge door and a steamy kitchen.
  • Two sockets, A and B: a warm end and a cool end, or a fridge and a freezer.
  • The probe knows which socket it is in, and says so if it is ever cut or pulled out.

For everything you look after

The same unit, set up for what it is watching.
